On April 22, Ambassador Jihoon Cha had the honor of meeting Professor John Pai and his family. Having moved to the United States at the age of eleven just before the outbreak of the Korean War, Pai studied at the Pratt Institute — where he later became the youngest professor in the school’s history — and taught sculpture for nearly four decades.
The ROK Mission to the UN is proud to house two of his beautiful works, including “The Family Tree”, one of his most celebrated pieces.
